Start with a well-fitting ring

1. Choose a ring that fits the same finger on the same hand.
2. Measure straight across its inside opening, through the centre, in millimetres. Do not include the metal edges.
3. Enter the inside diameter below. A jeweller’s ring sizer is preferable if the measurement is unclear.

No ring to measure?

1. Wrap a narrow strip of non-stretch paper around the base of your finger. Keep it snug, not tight.
2. Mark where the ends meet. Lay it flat and measure the marked length in millimetres. This is your finger circumference.
3. Repeat the measurement. Check that the loop can pass over your knuckle.

Measure with your hands at a normal temperature. Finger size can change with temperature and swelling. Wide rings may fit differently from narrow rings, so avoid automatically adding a fixed size.

Compare your measurement

US conversions are approximate references, not a supplier-specific fit guarantee. If you are between sizes, have a large knuckle, or are buying a wide band, confirm with a jeweller or the product’s sizing information.

Measure your wrist

1. Wrap a flexible tape around the wrist where you want the bracelet to sit.
2. Keep it close to the skin without compressing it. If using paper, mark the overlap and measure the strip with a ruler.
3. Repeat once. For a clasped chain bracelet, allow extra length for movement and your preferred fit.

A useful starting allowance for a clasped chain is 1–2 cm, not a guaranteed fit. Thick or wide bracelets can need more room. For a rigid bangle, wrist circumference alone is insufficient: measure across the widest part of your hand and check the bangle’s opening.

Compare chain lengths

Calculations use explicitly labelled cm, mm, or inch lengths only. Adjustable ranges and unspecified units are not guessed. Listed length may not equal usable inside circumference, especially for thick bracelets.
